Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing legal advice and guidance to stakeholders on a variety of legal topics.
  • Provide transactional support to Financial Markets business and act as lead lawyer for complex transactions across various asset classes.
  • Collaborating with management to devise efficient defense strategies.

Skills

To be successful you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Legal Counsel within Banking or Financial Markets.
  • Technical knowledge of the legal landscape for Financial Markets, experience in Islamic derivatives and Islamic structured finance is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
  • Must have Middle East Experience
  • Fluent in English, Arabic would be advantageous
