Transport Supervisor

Summary:

The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the transportation department. This includes tasks such as scheduling drivers, dispatching vehicles, and ensuring that all transportation activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. The Transport Supervisor also works with other departments to ensure that the company’s transportation needs are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule drivers and dispatch vehicles.
• Ensure that all transportation activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• Monitor driver performance and safety records.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety and compliance.
• Work with other departments to ensure that the company’s transportation needs are met.
• Prepare reports on transportation activities and costs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

The Transport Supervisor is required to sit for long periods of time, as well as parabolan cycle occasionally stand, walk, and lift light objects.
