Summary:
The Document Controller is responsible for the intake, handling, and storage of documentation for the company. This includes tasks such as scanning and uploading paper documents, organizing them on a secure server, and ensuring that they are accessible to authorized personnel. The Document Controller also works with other departments to ensure that the company’s documentation is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scan and upload paper documents into a secure document management system.
- Organize documents into logical folders and subfolders.
- Create and maintain document indexes.
- Retrieve documents for authorized personnel.
- Destroy documents that are no longer needed.
- Ensure that all documentation is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Work with other departments to ensure that the company’s documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a document management or related role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of document management software and procedures.
Physical Demands:
The Document Controller is required to sit for long periods of time, as well as occasionally stand, walk, and lift light objects.
Work Environment:
The Document Controller works in a professional office environment.
