Summary:
The Security Guard is responsible for protecting the safety and security of people and property. This includes tasks such as:
- Patrolling assigned areas
- Monitoring security cameras
- Screening visitors and employees
- Responding to alarms and incidents
- Writing reports
- Providing customer service
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to deter crime and protect people and property.
- Monitor security cameras and observe activity in and around the premises.
- Screen visitors and employees to ensure that they are authorized to be on the premises.
- Respond to alarms and incidents, including theft, vandalism, and disturbances.
- Write reports of incidents and security checks.
- Provide customer service to visitors and employees.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a security or law enforcement role.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods of time.
