Summary:
The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for providing support to the laboratory staff in a variety of tasks. This includes tasks such as:
- Preparing laboratory equipment and supplies
- Maintaining laboratory records
- Assisting with laboratory experiments and research
- Cleaning and maintaining laboratory space
- Ordering laboratory supplies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare laboratory equipment and supplies, such as setting up and calibrating instruments, preparing solutions, and labeling samples.
- Maintain laboratory records, such as keeping track of inventory and documenting experiments.
- Assist with laboratory experiments and research, such as collecting data, running tests, and preparing reports.
- Clean and maintain laboratory space, such as disposing of hazardous materials and cleaning up spills.
- Order laboratory supplies, such as chemicals, glassware, and other equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Proficient in basic laboratory techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Ability to work in a safe and controlled environment.
