Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operations of a hotel, hospital, or other facility. This includes tasks such as:
- Managing a team of housekeepers
- Assigning cleaning tasks
- Ensuring that all areas are cleaned to a high standard
- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies
- Ordering new supplies as needed
- Training new housekeepers
- Ensuring that all housekeeping procedures are followed
- Complying with all applicable regulations
- Handling customer complaints
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of housekeepers, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
- Assign cleaning tasks to housekeepers, ensuring that all areas are cleaned to a high standard.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and order new supplies as needed.
- Train new housekeepers on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Ensure that all housekeeping procedures are followed, such as cleaning protocols, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
- Comply with all applicable regulations, such as OSHA regulations and environmental regulations.
- Handle customer complaints, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to speak and understand English fluently.
