Summary:
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and processing incoming shipments of goods and materials. This includes tasks such as:
- Checking incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
- Inspecting goods and materials for damage
- Logging and tracking incoming shipments
- Moving and storing incoming goods and materials
- Issuing picking tickets to warehouse workers
- Preparing and processing paperwork for incoming shipments
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming shipments of goods and materials.
- Check incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect goods and materials for damage.
- Log and track incoming shipments.
- Move and store incoming goods and materials.
- Issue picking tickets to warehouse workers.
- Prepare and process paperwork for incoming shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or receiving role.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
- Ability to use a variety of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
